Secondment in the construction sector in France, do you know all your obligations?

In France, an employee seconded from a company established outside France in the construction sector has the obligation to be in possession of his professional identification card. The same goes for an employee of a French company since October 1st, 2017.

It is in the framework of the plan to fight against illegal work, with the aim of preventing possible cases of fraud on building sites, that has been set up the BTP Card. From now on, during a check of the French authorities on a construction site or public works, all the workers have the obligation to present their individual BTP Card.

Note that in case of irregularity or non-presentation of the BTP Card of one or more employee (s), the company is fined € 2,000 per employee and per offense, and 4,000 € in case of recidivism.

WHAT INFORMATION MUST APPEAR ON THE BTP CARD?

The professional identification card of the employee is an individual card on which appears the following information:

– The photo ID of the worker;

– A QR code indicating all the information of the employer that will be scanned by the controller;

Personal information of the employee: name, first name, date of birth, nationality, employer and status (seconded employee, temporary employee or employee).

WHAT ARE THE STEPS TO BE TAKEN TO OBTAIN YOUR BTP CARD?

The request can only be made online by the company. ASD Group has created So Posting Worker by ASD, an online service dedicated to the facilitation of this formality. We carry out your requests for the Carte BTP, regardless of the number, and have them delivered directly within a few days. Order it now on our e-shop.
